Building Renovation Insurance is a requirement in Queensland for all construction projects valued at over $3,300.

When renovating with constructright you are covered as we always have the appropriate liability Insurance, as well as Construction Insurance when we are in control of the building site.  (Your home)  Construction insurance covers the site and materials against theft, vandalism, fire and storm damage during the construction period until handover.

As an owner, you need to ensure you have the appropriate Public Liability Insurance to cover injury or death.  In most cases, this is already in place through your house and contents policy.  Contact your insurance company to confirm.

As an owner you also have a duty to protect the adjoining properties from potential damage during construction.   Contact your local council for further information.

When the renovation is complete, it is essential that you update both your home building and contents insurance to accurately reflect the value of your home and any new items you have purchased.
